1A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I will never be in need. 2He settles me down in meadows of fresh green grass; He leads me gently to water where I can rest. 3He brings back my life and leads me in the tracks of what is right, true to His name. 4Even if my path goes down through a valley of deepest darkness, I will not be afraid of any harm, because You are there with me; Your rod and Your staff give me courage. 5You spread a meal before me while my enemies look on; You refresh my head with oil, and my cup is full to the brim. 6Goodness and loyal love will surely chase after me every day I live, and I will come home to the house of the LORD for all my days to come.
